Hollywood stars left Georgia today. Sharon Stone gave her first interview to Georgian journalists at the Tbilisi International Airport.
She says that she is happy that has visited Georgia, met with Georgia's Patriarch and the President.
Hollywood star especially is impressed by capital of Georgia Tbilisi, churches and the environment. Sharon Stone also noted that she liked Georgian traditional dishes.
Another surprise journalist learned is that Andy García plans to visit Georgia together with his band in autumn.
Renny Harlin, director of "5 Days of August" says that he decided to buy a house in Georgia. He plans to visit Batumi city in summer.
Johnathon Schaech plays Rezo Avaliani, a young Georgian officer in "5 Days of August" talked about the film with journalists once again. He said that he is especially pleased with the charity dinner. Also he is impressed by the Georgian singer Sopho Nijaradze and Georgian Folk.
The premiere of "5 Days of August" by Renny Harlin, Finnish-American film director and producer, was held at Rustaveli Cinema Hall in Tbilisi yesterday evening.
Director of the film and Hollywood stars arrived in Tbilisi on the special occasion. After the premiere of "5 Days of August" the charity supper held at Rustaveli theatre aiming to raise money for the families of those who suffered during the August war.
"5 Days of August" is a drama, which is centered on the war between Russia and Georgia in August 2008. The film is focused on an American journalist, his cameraman, and a Georgian native who become caught in the crossfire.
Upon the request of film producers, the Georgian Military provided military equipment, uniforms, tanks, and helicopters. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili allowed use of his Presidential residence for filming.
Andy García plays the role of Saakashvili; Emmanuelle Chriqui plays Tatia, a young Georgian girl; Rupert Friend plays Thomas Anders, an American reporter; and Johnathon Schaech plays Rezo Avaliani, a young Georgian officer. In addition, Val Kilmer plays a Dutch journalist working in Georgia.
